I gotta ask, what the heck is in the Elemental’s claw hand?

I think the Elemental is holding a Cthulu rat.

my first thought about the thing in the Elemental’s claw was that it was a jinxlet, but the shape is wrong.
My guess is it’s the rat from Ratatouille (Remy).
ps: google is wonderful as a ‘lazy person’s spell checker’ :-p
pps: there is also something on the top of the box.
